Erin Slenk Pollock
After graduating from Calvin College in 2006 with degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education, Erin Pollock joined the arts faculty at the School of the Arts in Charleston, South Carolina. During her five years in Charleston Erin taught both middle school and high school choirs and had consistent success in preparing students for All State, state choral festival and performances in Carnegie Hall and Chicago’s Symphony Hall. In 2011-2013 she attended Michigan State University and received a Masters Degree in Music Education. She is currently the choir director at Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines, North Carolina where she teaches approximately 200 students a year in three different ensembles. She also serves as the music director for the annual school musical and is the lead choir teacher for Moore County Schools. Her students receive superior ratings at the North Carolina Music Performance Adjudication, are selected to participate in the North Carolina Honors Chorus, and enjoy serving the community through the annual Holiday Madrigals ensemble. She is currently serving as a board member on the North Carolina Music Educators Association High School Choral Board.
